Setting-up a regulated psychedelic-therapy clinic

VirtualLocation

February 13 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Free Webinar Register Now As interest in psychedelic-assisted therapy (PaT) grows, many therapy practices are eager to incorporate this innovative treatment. However, the process of implementing PaT can be complex and challenging, especially for those outside the traditional healthcare infrastructure. Despite the field’s rapid expansion, guidance is limited, and the transition to a regulated PaT model remains unfamiliar for many therapists. The reality is that most therapy practices operate outside conventional healthcare systems, making it difficult to navigate the intricacies of establishing a regulated clinic. With few experts available to provide direction in this evolving field, the journey can feel overwhelming. At ATMA CENA, we’ve successfully navigated this evolving landscape. As the first organization in Alberta to operate two licensed clinics adhering to the established Psychedelic Drug Treatment Service Standards, we’re now expanding our national network—currently eight clinics, with plans for over 20 by year-end. If you’re considering launching a PaT clinic or integrating PaT into your existing practice in 2025, this webinar is an invaluable opportunity to learn from our experience and gain practical insights. In this webinar, we’ll cover: Key Components of a Regulated PaT Clinic: What’s needed to meet regulatory standards and ensure compliance. Challenges in Establishing a PaT Clinic: Practical advice on overcoming common obstacles. The ATMA CENA National Network: Our approach to offering safe, regulated access to psychedelic therapy for therapists and clients. The CoCare Program: A structured framework designed to help therapists integrate PaT seamlessly into their existing practice. Join us to discover how you can bring innovative, effective treatments into your practice in a safe, regulated manner and make 2025 the year you transform your therapy services. Register now to reserve your spot!

Ear Seeding

Vaughan

May 6 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm 1600 Steeles Avenue West #suite 316 Vaughan, In-Person Event (Vaughan), ON L4K 4M2 Register Now ATMA CENA Welcomes Ear Seeding with Bahareh Hosseini.Bahareh Hosseini is a registered acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner.Ear Seeding event for stress and tension: Ear seeds will be placed on 2-3 spots on each ear to help reduce tension and stress.Ear Seeding Summary ~ Based on Auricular Medicine and rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine ~ Detection of active points and placement of ear seeds to help treat the mind, body and spirit. You will have ear seeds placed on your ears that can be kept for up to 3 days. What Is Auriculotherapy?Auriculotherapy is the stimulation of specific points on the ear, which is believed to be a microsystem of the entire body very similar to principles of reflexology.. There are points on the ear to treat various imbalances from emotional to physical, from internal organs to your limbs. How Does it Work? When using Auriculotherapy with EarSeeds, small round metal pellets or natural vaccaria seeds (from the vaccaria plant) are secured on the surface of the ear with a piece of adhesive tape. They are strategically placed over specific acupressure points. The continuous mild pressure they exert is amplified by pressing the seed or pellet with a few seconds every few hours. You can press and take a few breaths. Auriculotherapy can be done by Registered Acupuncturists with acupuncture needles, tacks, even electrical stimulation. Ear seeds are non-invasive, meaning, unlike needles or tacks, they are affixed on the surface of the ear and do not puncture the skin, making them an accessible and safe option for self-care.How Long Do I have To Leave Them In My Ear?EarSeeds can be left on for up to 3 days, even with showering, sleeping, swimming etc. They may fall off sooner, depending on where they’ve been placed. After 3 days of wear, remove seeds and allow the skin to rejuvenate for 8-24 hours before replacement at your next visit with your practitioner. If skin irritation occurs from the ear seeds, or if swelling should occur, remove the ear seeds immediately and contact your doctor if symptoms persist. Sometimes, when a point is “active” the ear seed will make the ear feel sore, tender, and sensitive to touch. This is normal. If discomfort persists, you can remove the seeds and reapply at a later time. This discomfort is different than a skin irritation. Read more about ear seed pain here. How Long Until I See Results?Historically and in studies, with proper placement, Ear Seeds have been shown to work immediately for some conditions in some individuals and take longer, up to a few weeks, with multiple sessions, with others. Auriculotherapy is a single modality that can help, but they are not a magic pill. It is very often combined with the rest of medicine such as Acupuncture, Nutrition, Herbal therapies, etc.
