Celebrating Progress, People & the Power of Healing
It’s May — and if you’re in Alberta, you know just how hard-won this month feels. Snow and frigid temperatures right up until the last days of April make the arrival of spring feel like its own kind of breakthrough.
May is a special month for those of us working in mental health. The tradition goes back to 1908, when Clifford W. Beers — who had written candidly about his own struggles with mental illness — founded what would eventually become Mental Health America, with a mission that was simple and radical at the time: that people with mental illness deserved proper care and should never feel alone.
More than a century later, the conversation has never been more alive.
The Momentum Is Real
Psychedelic-assisted therapy is having a moment. The US recently signed an executive order fast-tracking psychedelic medicines through the FDA — a significant signal of where mainstream medicine is heading. We’ve been working in this space for years, and it’s deeply gratifying to watch the rest of the world catch up.
How We’re Celebrating May Mental Health Month
This May we’re shining a light on rTMS, available at our Calgary clinic — a powerful option for those who haven’t found relief through traditional therapies, and recently featured on The Diary of a CEO and Huberman Lab.
If you want to learn more about rTMS, we encourage you to book a free Info Call with our team! We’re here to answer all of your questions.
Also Happening This Season
Alongside the webinar, here’s what else is unfolding in our world:
Our Foundations in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy training continues to welcome practitioners who believe great therapy, psychedelic or not, is built on somatic and trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness, embodiment, and conscious presence.
In April, we held our first Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Immersive Experience, taking practitioners through the full arc of psychedelic care from the client perspective. The feedback was profound, and it returns in June.
This fall, we’ll be launching Group Psychedelic Therapy for clients, because the healing that happens in community is something truly special.
Here’s to a month of progress, presence, and the people doing this important work.
